Advertising LCD Display: Long Lifespan, Proper Care Needed

Advertising LCD display uses an industrial control screen with higher hardware requirements compared to ordinary LCD screens, offering a longer lifespan. However, to ensure optimal performance and longevity, it is essential to follow these six precautions.

Power Outlets

Whether it's a wall-mounted advertising LCD display, a freestanding unit, or any other model, each has a rated power limit. Exceeding the rated power may damage the internal chip or cause the display to stop operating. Therefore, it is important to choose suitable, high-quality power outlets to avoid using those with power outputs that are too high or too low.

Environmental Humidity

Typically, advertising LCD display functions well within a humidity range of 10% to 90%. When the humidity falls below 10% or rises above 90%, condensation may form inside the display, increasing the risk of electrical discharge in high-voltage areas. Additionally, power transformers and other internal coils are prone to leakage or short circuits. Excessive humidity can also lead to rusting, corrosion, or permanent damage to the circuit board.

To prevent these issues, ensure the display is used in a suitable environment. If the display is not used for an extended period, turn it on occasionally to prevent moisture buildup. In case of visible fog or condensation, wipe it with a dry, soft cloth before powering it on. If moisture has penetrated the device, place it in a warm environment to allow evaporation. Avoid powering it on immediately to prevent potential corrosion or permanent damage.

Continuous Operation

While the advertising LCD display supports 24/7 continuous operation, it is recommended to periodically restart the machine. Restarting clears cache data, reduces CPU stress, and extends the display's lifespan.

Force Shutdown

In some cases, the device may not respond during normal shutdown attempts. While force shutdown is a common solution, it should be done cautiously. During a force shutdown, the display's chip and hard drive might still be processing data. Sudden power loss can lead to irreversible damage. If a force shutdown is necessary, wait at least three minutes before restarting. If the display repeatedly fails to shut down properly, investigate the issue further before resorting to another force shutdown.

Impact and Pressure

While the advertising LCD display often features a layer of explosion-proof tempered glass for protection, significant impacts can still cause damage. Strong shocks or vibrations may crack the glass, damage the screen, or dislodge internal electronic components. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid applying excessive pressure or force to the display.

Cleaning and Maintenance

After use, the advertising LCD display may accumulate dust or other particles on the screen and internal components. Regular cleaning is necessary to maintain clear visuals and proper function. Use a clean, soft cloth to gently wipe the screen surface. Avoid using harsh or corrosive liquids, as they can damage electronic components and the display's coating. Always power off the display before cleaning to prevent short circuits or other malfunctions.
